Three Men Deny Raping Teenage Girl in Rotherham
Three men charged in historic Rotherham sex abuse case plead not guilty to raping a teenage girl. Trial set for 2026 in major NCA-led investigation.
Three men have pleaded not guilty to charges of raping a teenage girl in Rotherham between 2008 and 2010.
Khamir Ifzal Khan, 36; Mudasser Hussain, 36; and Ghazanfar Hussain, 40, appeared at Sheffield Crown Court today.
The alleged victim was reported to be 14 or 15 years old at the time, according to the National Crime Agency (NCA).
The three men stood alongside each other in the dock for the 15-minute long hearing where the 16-count indictment was read by Judge Sarah Wright.
All three were arrested as part of Operation Stovewood, an extensive NCA investigation into child sexual exploitation in Rotherham spanning 1997 to 2013. They were granted bail pending trial next year.
At the hearing, Khamir Khan, previously of Rotherham but now with no fixed address, denied two counts of rape and one count of human trafficking within the UK.
Mudasser Hussain, of Henley Grove Road, Rotherham, pleaded not guilty to 12 counts of rape.
Ghazanfar Hussain, of Rosebery Street, Rotherham, denied one count of rape.
The trial is scheduled to begin on 5 May 2026 with an expected duration of three weeks.
