Brothers Found Guilty Over Manchester Airport Assault
Two brothers have been found guilty over a violent confrontation with police officers at Manchester Airport, following a widely circulated incident that attracted national attention.
Mohammed Fahir Amaaz, 20, and Muhammad Amaad, 28, both of Tarnside Close, Rochdale, were convicted today at Liverpool Crown Court of assault charges arising from events in the airport terminal on 23 July 2024. The jury heard evidence including CCTV, police body-worn camera footage, and accounts by witnesses.
Judge Neil Flewitt KC previously told jurors to ignore media coverage and consider only the evidence presented in court.
Sentencing will take place at a later date.
