🔴 HEROIN & CRACK DEALER JAILED AFTER STREET BUST
Birmingham man jailed after police find 75 wraps of heroin & crack in car during stop and search. Operation Skybridge strikes again in street-level crackdown.
Vinay Mattu has been jailed for three years after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, following his arrest during a proactive police operation in Birmingham.
Officers from the city’s Proactive Crime Team, operating under Operation Skybridge, were patrolling in Northfield when they observed Mattu selling drugs directly from his car. A stop and search was carried out on both Mattu and the vehicle, revealing more than 75 individual wraps containing heroin and crack cocaine.
Also recovered at the scene were approximately £700 in cash and a mobile phone suspected to have been used in coordinating drug deals.
Mattu, aged 24, was arrested on the spot and a further search of his home address in Birmingham resulted in the seizure of more cash and additional wraps of cocaine. He later admitted the offences at Birmingham Crown Court and was sentenced on Tuesday 24 June.
Police described the outcome as another result for Operation Skybridge, which continues to target street-level drug dealing across the West Midlands.
